Wadhwani Foundation launched its two key Initiatives, ‘National Entrepreneurship Network’ and ‘Global Skills Network’ in East Africa in March of 2016. The goal is to strengthen the high growth entrepreneurship and skilling ecosystem in East Africa. This includes Kenya and the neighboring countries of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia.
Over the last decade, WF NEN has demonstrated a highly successful and replicable model that facilitates entrepreneurship and job creation through partnerships with colleges and universities, entrepreneur support organizations, and mentor and investor community in several countries. On the other hand, WF GSN focuses on enhancing the quality of teaching and training so that more students can be job-ready.
