Wadhwani Foundation launched its entrepreneurship initiative, ‘Wadhwani Entrepreneur’ in Egypt in 2018. The goal is to strengthen the high growth entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt.

Over the last decade, ‘Wadhwani Entrepreneur’ has demonstrated a highly successful and replicable model that facilitates entrepreneurship and job creation through partnerships with colleges and universities, entrepreneur support organizations, and mentor and investor community in several countries.

‘Wadhwani Entrepreneur’ in Egypt:

Wadhwani Entrepreneur’ develops the ecosystem for new entrepreneurs through supporting Entrepreneurship Education. It also facilitates the Startup ecosystem through furthering their access to knowledge, mentor and investor resources.

The scalable model of ‘Wadhwani Entrepreneur’, its resources and IP are contextualized for emerging economies and regions and it works in Egypt through partnerships with relevant entities. Partnership MoUs to support the introduction of entrepreneurship education to thousands of students in Egypt have been signed with Ain Shams University – ASU (one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious public universities across the MENA region), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – AASTMTWF (a leading private university belonging to the League of Arab States and having 5 campuses across Egypt), the Nile university -NU (an exclusive private university in Sheikh Zayed city famous for its quality education especially in innovation, computer science and business administration) and Heliopolis university -HU (a private university specialized in sustainable development, ecology, pharmacy, organic agriculture and desert farming). ‘Wadhwani Entrepreneur’ is looking to expand its partnerships in Egypt and the region[…]
