The resource person and panelists will also describe the common problems that entrepreneurs face during a pandemic and explore various ways an entrepreneur can build a sustainable business model given the current pandemic.

Episode 3 – Building an “A” Team for your Enterprise: Getting the Right People to Do the Job

While every enterprise tries hard and tries constantly, getting the right people is always a challenge. However, building an ‘A’ team is not always about getting the right people; it’s often about building the right culture. Right person in a wrong culture is as meaningless as a wrong person in the right culture. Culture has the power to turn bad into good and vice versa. By using the phrase ‘getting the right people’, the onus of being right unknowingly and unintentionally shifts to others. Using the phrase ‘getting the right culture’ keeps the onus firmly on the enterprise.

Episode 4 – Finding Capital to Start your Business: Getting Venture Capital for your Enterprise

A good business idea is not the only essential element to start a business. One also needs capital to acquire machines/ equipment, hire people, purchase raw materials, etc. to be able to produce products or deliver services. An existing entrepreneur may also require additional capital to expand business but sometimes is faced also with the challenge of sourcing it. There are pros and cons involved in using one’s own savings, borrowing from another or taking a loan from a financial institution. The presence of a pandemic further complicates the situation for a would-be and existing entrepreneur because the options become narrower.
